If you are looking for a recording or mastering studio in Adelaide then why not go to
the best place I know of.
Not the largest, not the most expensive or even best equipped.
RDMS is the best because of Rik Davidson. His ears and attitude combined with 
many years experience, learning how to master his craft, give you a recording that
screams quality.
Anyone can buy a bit of software and equipment but it takes time and dedication to
learn how to make amazing CD master recordings.

Did you know that Rik was asked to teach audio recording at Adelaide university for
six months? Not something he tells everyone but it's a testament to his abilities.
Rik's studio is in Wynn Vale, Adelaide. Located on his residential property so
that his travel time to work is around 30 seconds! Unfortunately this also means that
by law the recording studio can only have a floor area of 24 square meters.
It's a trade off but the ability to focus on the sound quality of finished CD's
instead of watching the clock is much preferred.

Musicians from all over Adelaide as well as interstate have come to RDMS.
Mastering audio has been done for clients as far away as Uganda.
Award winning recordings have been tracked, mixed and mastered here so
I don't think the size of the facility has much to do with the finished product.
Obviously if you want to get the whole big studio experience then go for it!
If, on the other hand you just want an amazing recording of your songs
without paying a huge amount of cash then come see me.
If you did record at the big studio but didn't like the results, then come to RDMS
and we'll see if we can make it shine a little better with some quality mastering.

I wouldn't say we are a budget Adelaide recording and mastering facility, there are
certainly cheaper places to record your music. Just remember that you always get
what you pay for. If a recording studio or mastering facility is cheap then chances
are that the person doing the job is not experienced enough to give you high
quality results.

These days a lot of music is tracked at home. That's fine, sometimes the quality is really good. What we do have is the ability to make radio quality recordings. That means something that is balanced, appropriately loud and most important of all....grooves.
Aha!!!! What does THAT mean?
You see, part of the skill in recording quality music is the ability to make something likeable. Ever wondered why commercial releases sound so good? It's the way they make you feel and move. There are lot's of tricks to achieving this that I don't care to share on the website and to be honest most of it is a skill crafted over many years. I can ALWAYS make a band sound better. Editing and looping has nothing to do with it. Good music has a certain gravity to it and you need to know how to tap into that.

Adelaide has a lot of great studio's, Not so many Mastering facilities.
We offer a place where you are comfortable, get the chance to record well and
be really happy about the results.
